3 Ways to Upload Photos To Instagram Directly from PC or Mac

1. Any Web Browser

This method is all about tricking Instagram into thinking we are accessing the site via a mobile, which does allow for photo uploads. This is sometimes called user agent spoofing. It is basically a piece of code that tells the website about the browser and operating system you are using. So let’s see how this method works. I will be telling you about some of the major browsers below. For these, log into your Instagram account through the web browser first and then follow the steps.

(i) With Chrome

Go to View and then click on Developer and then select developer tools from that. That will open the Developer Tools panel. You could also use shortcut key i.e. : (Ctrl + Shift + i ) to open the Develop Tools Panel.

Now, here is lot of code to digest. We don’t have to go through it, just look for the small icon at top left that shows a phone and tablet and click it. The browser window will now transform to the dimensions of a specific smartphone or tablet. So it now looks just like the mobile app. And, importantly, you can now see the camera icon. Click on the icon and go on with creating a new post.

(ii) With Safari

Go to Develop, select User Agent and then click on Safari – iOS. For some of you who don’t see the “Develop” option, first enable it from advanced menu in the Preferences. After clicking on Safari – iOS, your page should refresh and show the camera icon at the top. Go ahead with your new post.

Type in the caption, if you want and then hit share. It’s done !

There are also many other third party apps such as Deskgram, which comes for PC and Mac both. It is pretty straightforward enough to use.
