Ibooks Won't Download From Icloud On Mac
Hi r/apple, first time post and I hope this is the correct subreddit. Recently bought an iPad and have had no issues with it. For whatever reason, iTunes decided recently to remove the 'Books' tab for syncing any books/pdf files to devices through iTunes (still don't really get why?) and this has made syncing my pdf files to iPad impossible. Remove iBooks/Books Cache and Refresh the Content. To deal with iOS 13/12/11 iBooks not.
Hello, Toadywot.I understand you want to know how to upload files to the iCloud Drive. I may be able to help you with this. When using iBooks, certain ones are uploaded automatically into iCloud and other items may not. This link here helps explain, check it out: Use iCloud Drive or iBooks to access your PDF files, ePub files, and books
The first time that you open iBooks after you update to iOS 9.3 or OS X 10.11.4, you'll be asked to use iCloud. If you don't see this message, you might need to set up iCloud Drive.
You can use iBooks and iCloud Drive to sync ePub, iBooks Author books, and PDF files so that you can access them on all of your devices. After you turn on iCloud Drive, all files automatically upload to iCloud*. Any ePub, iBooks Author book, or PDF file that you add to your iBooks library later also automatically upload to iCloud*.
Books purchased from the iBooks Store are not stored on iCloud Drive, but you can redownload them. Because they're not stored on iCloud Drive, they don't count against iCloud storage. Sample books and audiobooks don't sync with iCloud Drive. If you don't see your books available for download, ensure that 'Hide iCloud Books' is disabled from the Collections menu.
So your PDF's were automatically loaded into the iCloud Drive once it was enabled. This article here has some great information about using iCloud Drive: iCloud: Use iCloud Drive on your computer or iOS deviceAlso, in order to view files in iCloud Drive with your iPad, you'll need to download the App: Get help with iCloud Drive
How do I see my files on my iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch?
On your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 9 and later, you can access your iCloud Drive files from the iCloud Drive app. If you don't have the iCloud Drive app on your device, go to the App Store and download it.
Adding files to the iCloud Drive using an iPad is done automatically by Apps that are compatible with the iCloud Drive, like iBooks or Pages. You can use a Mac or PC to add files as well. This link here shows a detailed process to do so: iCloud: Use iCloud Drive on iCloud.comUsing a web browser on a Mac or Windows computer, you can work with your files in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com.
You can't do this method on the iPad.Let me know if this helps.
