Why Won't Filezilla Download On My Mac

Feb 17, 2015 My server connects fine. The server connection is correct and everything in FileZilla is configured. I have the latest version but I cannot download my files off my server. I right click on the index.html file that I want to edit and “Download” is grayed out. I try to drag the file onto my desktop: it doesn’t work. Filezilla only lets you edit locally. It downloads the file to your pc, opens it in your chosen editor then uploads it again when saved. However, the file won't actually overwrite your server copy if the permissions dont allow it. FileZilla, has no knowledge of what happens to the file once it hands it over to the server.
